Advanced Pricing in Bundle – Explanation
Overview
In the Bundle plugin, Advanced Pricing behavior depends on the selected price calculation mode. This is expected system behavior and not a bug.
Behavior Details
1. Price Mode: “Sum prices of products in bundle”
The bundle price is calculated by summing the base prices of all included products
Advanced Pricing is NOT applied in this mode
Customer-specific or rule-based pricing is ignored
2. Price Mode: “Adjust the product prices to fit within the bundle price”
Product prices are dynamically adjusted
Advanced Pricing IS applied in this mode
Pricing rules (e.g., customer groups) are considered
Why This Happens
The “Sum prices” mode performs a direct addition of base product prices without evaluating pricing rules. Therefore, Advanced Pricing logic is bypassed.
Conclusion
This is intended plugin behavior, not a misconfiguration
To use Advanced Pricing, switch to the “Adjust prices” mode
